The new avatars are one step closer to being photorealistic, indistinguishable from photos!

Today we’re excited to announce important updates for the Avatar SDK users!

Head Avatars 1.2:

Head 1.2 has significant improvements in shape and texture of long hairstyles and busts.

The new avatars are one step closer to being photorealistic, indistinguishable from photos! If you still use Head 1.1, please give the Head 1.2 avatars a try!

Avatar Meta-Data: gender, skin color and more!

Avatar SDK is now capable of producing important information about an avatar computed from an input photo. Now it is possible to get a lot of details about a person on an input selfie: skin color, hair color, lips color, gender and more. This data can help you to generate higher quality avatars using Avatar SDK. The most of these features is available on the Plus plan and higher. You can find the details and the examples in our documentation here: 1.6   Avatar Computation Parameters.

Cartoonish avatars

If you are looking for a cartoonish rather than realistic look, please try a beta version of our cartoonish filter. As other beta functionality, it is available on the Indie plan and higher. Here is a couple of examples:

Please send us your feedback about the cartoonish style!
