Full body in Unity and glasses removal available now!

While the world is working from home, we at Avatar SDK want to provide you with the latest news about the tools for creating people’s digital presence! Here are the latest updates to the Avatar SDK:

  • Unity plugin full body update:
    • Generation of SMPL bodies from images
    • Update to the UMA avatars
  • Glasses removal

Full Body Avatars

We are happy to announce that the latest version of the cloud Unity plugin nowsupports SMPL full body models generated from images! The Unitypackage can be downloaded from the accounts page: https://accounts.avatarsdk.com/developer/#unity-plugin

In order to generate a full body avatar please run the 03_fullbody_sample (“Assets/itseez3d/avatar_sdk/samples_cloud/03_fullbody_sample_cloud/scenes/03_fullbody_sample_cloud.unity”). You will need a Pro subscription to generate a full body model. A Pro subscription trial can be obtained from the page https://avatarsdk.com/pricing-cloud/. Full body avatars support the same hairstyles as the Head 2.0. Also mobile_51 and visemes_15 blendshapes sets are supported along with the facial animations.  

Update to the UMA2 avatars


We released an update to the UMA2 avatar generation. Two new bodies (female and male) were added. The plugin supports Avatar SDK hairstyles as well as the UMA2 hairstyles. Glasses removal


Now you don’t have to ask users to remove glasses before taking a selfie! We just updated Avatar SDK Cloud with the glasses removalfunction, that generates an image without glasses before creating an avatar (avatar rendering in the last column).
